CLEARFIELD – Jacque Starr, director of pharmacy for Clearfield Hospital, will appear on Futures…Fast Forward, a career-education television and web show, which will air at 5:30 p.m. Saturday on Fox 8 TV.
This week’s episode features a comprehensive look at careers in pharmacy, pathology lab and anesthesia and features employees from Clearfield Hospital, DuBois Regional Medical Center and Elk Regional Medical Center in St. Marys.
Starr, a 1982 graduate of Clearfield Area High School, has been Clearfield Hospital’s director of pharmacy for 11 years.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh in 1988 and a Doctorate degree from the same university in 1994.
She completed a residency in pediatric pharmacotherapy at the Medical University of South Carolina in 1995. Starr and her husband, Kenn, reside in Clearfield and have five sons.
Also briefly appearing on the show are Clearfield Hospital employees Tracie Parks, RN; Gloria Jasper, certified pharmacy technician; and Ken Henry and Mike Allman, pharmacists.
Futures is a youth-based television show that was produced in association with a regional career and technical education school over the past three years as a means to educate the community on career opportunities that exist in central Pennsylvania.
Producer and host Samuel A. Ettaro, a native of Clearfield, produced this particular episode from a compilation of segments pulled from the Careers in Healthcare in Central Pennsylvania DVD project that Mr. Ettaro produced for the North Central Regional and Planning Development Commission’s Workforce Investment Board in 2006.
