OSCEOLA MILLS – The investigation is continuing into an alleged burglary and simple assault incident that occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. Sunday at a private Pruner Street residence in Osceola Mills, reported the Clearfield-based state police.
Two suspects entered a 28-year-old Osceola Mills man’s residence through an unlocked front entry door. Once inside they observed him sitting on the floor in the living room.
Suspect 1 allegedly approached the man and struck him in the head with an aluminum bat on two, separate occasions. Then, Suspect 1 allegedly attempted to strike the victim in the head again; however, the man blocked the strike with his forearm. The man wrestled Suspect 1 to the floor.
At that point, Suspect 2 allegedly struck the man in the head with the aluminum bat. The victim fled upstairs and contacted 911. Both suspects fled the residence on foot. The man was transported via private vehicle to the Clearfield Hospital for head, neck and forearm injuries.
Suspect 1 has been described as a male standing approximately 6 feet tall with a skinny build. Suspect 2 is a male standing 5 feet, 8 inches tall with a heavier build and weighing approximately 250 pounds.
