Theadore C. ‘Ted’ Lanich, 77, of Bigler died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012 at the Clearfield Hospital. He was born Sept. 2, 1935 in Clearfield, a son of the late Clair and Alma (Blake) Lanich.
Mr. Lanich retired as a bridge designer for PennDOT in 1991 after 30 years of employment. He enjoyed camping and belonged to various camping clubs.
He attended the Trinity United Methodist Church, Clearfield.
He is survived by his wife, Emma (Hoke) Lanich, whom he wed Oct. 27, 1961 in Clearfield; two children, Lorrie Fontenoy and her husband, Rod of Curwensville and Ted Lanich and his companion, Tammy Riley of Altoona.
Also surviving are three grandchildren, Courtney and Kyle Lanich and Curtis Fontenoy; two brothers and a sister, Bruce Lanich and his wife Bernice, Edward Lanich and his wife, Cindy and Frances ‘Sis’ Hirsch, all of Clearfield.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Lanich.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Clearfield, with the Rev. Penney Rahm officiating. Burial will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday at the church.
