Mobile Classroom used for unique History lesson
Students at Commonwealth Connections Academy, a Pennsylvania public cyber charter school, will have an exclusive look this Wednesday into the life of a soldier during the Civil War and World War I. The mobile classroom will stop at the U.S. Army Reserve – Clearfield facility – for the social studies lesson.
With the help of the Soldiers & Sailors Museum in Pittsburgh, students will get an opportunity to see genuine soldier footlockers, actual historical soldier gear and pictures and maps from both wars.
The mobile classroom is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and resources that provide students with a hands-on approach to learning. The wireless internet, computers and Smart Boards provide an interactive education experience.
This field trip is one of the many stops the classroom makes around the state ensuring that the school’s cyber students receive hands-on learning experiences, regardless of where they are living.
