UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Students who plan to return to residence halls on Penn State’s University Park campus for the football team’s Saturday, Nov. 24 season finale against Wisconsin should leave extra time for arrival. Residence halls will open at 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23 to accommodate students. Those who plan to return on the day of the game should avoid Park Avenue because game-day traffic patterns will prevent them from getting to their residence halls. Instead, students should approach campus using Atherton Street (Route 322 Business) and College Avenue (Route 26).
Head Coach Bill O’Brien has asked students and all fans to arrive early, and to be in their seats by 3 p.m. for a pregame ceremony to celebrate this year’s senior players. The game will kick off at 3:30 p.m.
Students are reminded never to allow strangers to “piggyback” into their residence halls by holding or propping doors. All residents should enter buildings by card-key access. Students who do not wish to travel alone at night are encouraged to use the University’s Police Escort Service by calling 814-865-WALK.
