Astrid Elvira Sadoti, 93, of Dartmouth, MA, and formerly of Clearfield, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2012 at St. Luke’s Hospital, New Bedford, MA. She was born on Nov. 27, 1918 in Grassflat, a daughter of the late Thurston Alexander and Maria Charlotta (Olson) Erickson.
Mrs. Sadoti was a graduate of Cooper Township High School and lived in Clearfield until 1964 when she moved with her husband and family to Arlington, VA. She moved to Dartmouth, MA in 2008, where she was a resident of The Cedars assisted living facility.
She is survived by four children, Katherine Guthrie and her husband, Michael of Westport, MA; Anthony Sadoti and his wife, Susan of Sebastopol, CA; James Sadoti of Santa Fe, NM; and Patricia Tree of Hamilton, New Zealand.
Also surviving are four grandchildren, Michael Guthrie and his wife, Rita of North Attleboro, MA; Marisa Guthrie of Brooklyn, NY; Andrew Guthrie and his wife, Mathilde of Paris, France; and Gian-Carlo Sadoti and his wife Bridget of Reno, NV; six great-grandchildren, Julia, Ian and Nicholas Guthrie, Ismael and Rose Guthrie and Giacinta Sadoti. She is also survived by her brother, Arnold Erickson and his wife, Corinne of Cedar Rapids, IA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Joseph Sadoti on July 15, 1994. Mr. and Mrs. Sadoti were married Sept. 9, 1939 in Williamsport. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth Boostrum and Helen Derr and brothers, Gottfried and Herbert Erickson.
A graveside service will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield, at 2 p.m. Thursday, with the Father Brandon Kleckner officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Saint Francis Church, 212 S. Front St., Clearfield.
