Betty Ann Sakosky, 82 of Philipsburg and formerly of Osceola Mills died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012 at the Windy Hill Village Presbyterian Senior Living Community in Philipsburg.
She was the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Adams) Soltys and born July 5, 1930 in Osceola Mills. She married Joseph Sakosky on June 14, 1952 in Philipsburg. He preceded her in death April 25, 2006.
Mrs. Sakosky was of the Catholic faith. She was a member of the National Slovak Society, where she received several awards for installing new members.
She was the retired owner and operator of the Sakosky antiques store in Osceola Mills. She was a retired insurance agent for the National Slovak Society.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Soltys, Louise Soltys and Francine Swartz and three brothers, Joseph Soltys, John J. Soltys Sr. and Steven Soltys.
She is survived by a brother, Michael Soltys and his companion, Ginny Lewis of Wickliffe, KY.
At the request of Betty Ann Sakosky, there will be no funeral service or viewing. Burial will be at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Osceola Mills.
