ALTOONA — A pair of seventh inning rallies enabled the Clearfield fall baseball team to pull down the curtain on a successful season with a 5-5 tie and a 7-6 victory against Altoona Sunday afternoon.
In the opener, Clearfield trailed 5-2 after four frames but drew even with a single run in the sixth and two in the seventh. The game then was halted because of the time limit.
Devon Jones singled twice and drove in two runs for Clearfield, which also got a double and single from Curtis Collins and a triple from Thomas Summers.
Jones picked up the win in the nightcap when Clearfield posted four runs in the top of the seventh for a 9-3-2 record.
Curtis Collins doubled home two runs, Josh Kennedy had three RBIs and Dan Collins scored three runs.
