James David Fuller, 88, of DuBois died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012 at his daughter’s residence. Born Dec. 15, 1923, he was the son of the late Stanley and Grace (Gray) Fuller.
He was a veteran of World War and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. In 1996, he retired from Dominion Gas Company after more than 40 years of service.
He was married to Mary Jane Stasukinas. She preceded him in death Nov. 1, 1985.
He was a member of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church and was also a life member of the Fourth Ward Hose Co. He enjoyed swimming at the DuBois YMCA and was a strong supporter of the DuBois Area Catholic Schools. He enjoyed watching all of his grandchildren in their many activities.
He is survived by three daughters, Mary Ann Harrell and her husband, Bill of Virginia Beach, VA; Grace Marshall and her husband, Mike of DuBois; and Nancy Nelson and her husband, David of Gahanna, OH; a sister, Louise McMillen of DuBois; a brother, Samuel Fuller of Chambersburg; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, David Fuller and Michael Fuller; a daughter, Joan Hankey; his brothers, Lester, Tom, Frank, George, Stanley and John Fuller; and one sister, Midge Pernesky.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home
A Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday. A ritual service will be conducted at 9:15 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church with Fr. David Foradori as celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, where full military honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard.
