An incident of burglary occurred sometime between 4:30 a.m. Monday and 10 a.m. Tuesday on East Spruce Street in Philipsburg Borough. An Osceola Mills man entered a Philipsburg man’s residence and removed items from inside as well as took the victim’s vehicle. Charges will be filed through the district court.
A hit-and-run accident occurred at 4:21 Monday on Presqueisle Street in Philipsburg Borough. A Chevrolet Trailblazer was parked unattended while an unknown vehicle was traveling westbound and struck the driver’s side mirror of the parked vehicle. The vehicle then left the scene without stopping.
An incident of theft by unlawful taking occurred sometime between Sept. 1 and Sunday in Philipsburg Borough. Someone removed a small metal table and two chairs from an 80-year-old Philipsburg woman’s trailer porch. They also removed a ladies bicycle. The estimated value of the stolen items is $95. A 46-year-old Tyrone man was arrested for incident of DUI and false identification to law enforcement that occurred at 3:45 p.m. Sunday during a traffic stop on Interstate 99 at mile marker 56.8 in Taylor Township.
