WOODWARD TOWNSHIP – The investigation is continuing into a single-vehicle accident that resulted in minor injuries at approximately 11:55 p.m. Saturday along state Route 253 in Woodward Township, the Clearfield-based state police reported.
A 34-year-old Curwensville man who wasn’t identified in the report was traveling northbound on SR 253 when he lost control for unknown reasons. His vehicle traveled off the western shoulder into a wooded area.
The man’s vehicle continued north for approximately 280 feet before impacting a tree. It came to a final rest approximately 20 feet off the western shoulder of SR 253.
Neither the man nor his passenger, a 23-year-old Houtzdale woman, was wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident. The woman who also wasn’t identified sustained minor injuries.
