There are certain decisions and preparations to deal with when “coming of age.” Do you have your legal documents in order? Is your will made out and up-to-date? Do you have an Advance health directive, such as a Living Will? Do you need to think about setting up a Trust? On Thursday, Sept. 13, Attorney C.J. Zwick of Hopkins Helsel LLP will be discussing these and other important issues at the Clearfield Center for Active Living.
Zwick’s presentation is entitled “The Basics of Estate Planning” and begins at 1 p.m. at the center, located in the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging Inc. building at 103 North Front St., Clearfield. He’ll cover topics, such as the two different phases of estate planning, planning for incapacity and powers of attorney. A question and answer period will follow the presentation.
There are no reservations needed for this program. However, those interested in lunch at the center, prior to the program, are asked to call the day before to make a meal reservation. Any Clearfield County individual 60 years of age or older may contribute to the cost of the meal on a donation basis. The cost to those under age 60 is $3.
Information on this and other programs, meals and activities is available by calling the Clearfield Center at 765-9319 or 1-800-225-8571 or visiting the CCAAA web site at www.ccaaa.net. Programs and services of the Agency are funded in part by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging Inc., Mature Resources Foundation, and local and consumer contributions.
