Betsy Joan (Foreman) Ralston, 72, of Houtzdale died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
Born March 26, 1940 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late William and Hannah (McCreadie) Foreman.
Mrs. Ralston was a member of the Evangelical Baptist Church, Osceola Mills, where she served as its secretary.
She’d been employed with IBM for 26 years until her retirement in 1994. At IBM, she was involved with various departments and operations in Dayton, NJ; Manassas, VA; and Endicott, NY.
She attended the Philipsburg High School and was a member of the band.
She married W. Gene Ralston May 26, 1956 at the Parsonville Assembly of God Church, Houtzdale. He survives her at home.
Mrs. Ralston was survived by two daughters, Cindy L. Williams and her husband, Gary of Myrtle Beach, SC and Brenda A. Ratiner of Chambersburg and a son, Wilford “Willy” G. Ralston Jr. of Chambersburg.
Also surviving are a brother, William Foreman and his wife, Sandra of Philipsburg, nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy L. “Louie” Foreman.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 East Spruce St., Philipsburg, with the Pastor Richard E. McCahan Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Philipsburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
