Gerald Thomas Quick, 65, of Brisbin died Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born Sept. 10, 1946 in Philipsburg, he was the son of Burton Woods and Betty Quick Woods. Mr. Quick served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He was employed by Corning Asahi Video Products as a press operator until his retirement. He was a member of the Houtzdale American Legion Freeberg Post #591 and the Houtzdale Loyal Order of Moose # 327.
Mr. Quick is survived by a son, Gerald L. Quick of Brisbin and a daughter, Tammy Steiner and her husband, Scott of Morrisdale. Also surviving is a sister, Mary Lannon of Morrisdale.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale, with the Rev. Jonathan Schneidden and the Rev. Mark Melhorn officiating.
Burial will follow in the American Legion Cemetery, Brisbin, with graveside military honors conducted by the Houtzdale American Legion Honor Guard.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The Houtzdale Loyal Order of Moose will hold a memorial service at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
