BIGLER – The Children’s Giving Tree Project began over 25 years ago to support children and families that CenClear serves during the holiday season.
CenClear staff work closely with program parents to purchase specific items that their children need such as: winter coats, boots and hats, clothing, books, toys and much more.
Eligible children/families may be in crisis because of severe economic disadvantage or disabilities.
CenClear is excited to announce that this year’s Children’s Giving Tree Project was a tremendous success, surpassing all expectations.
A total of 66 children and 44 staff received Walmart gift cards ranging from $125 to $150 each, thanks to the overwhelming support from the community and CenClear employees.
This year’s project raised over $18,000 – more than double the usual amount of $7,000-$8,000, making it the most-successful Children’s Giving Tree to date.
“The success of this year’s project has been a truly humbling experience,” said Jake Ross, branding and marketing manager.
“To witness the community and our employees come together for this wonderful cause, and to see how much it enables us to help so many in our local area, is incredibly rewarding. We are so grateful for everyone who contributed.”
The funds for the project were raised through a combination of monetary donations from local businesses and community members, as well as internal fundraising efforts, including basket raffles held within CenClear.
Different programs and locations of CenClear donated themed baskets, which were then made available for employees to bid on.
The staff’s enthusiasm and generosity played a key role in reaching this record-breaking total.
“It was amazing to see the selfless effort that our staff put into creating their baskets, and the way our entire team came together for such a meaningful cause,” Ross continued.
“The excitement and generosity of our employees, as well as the community, made this experience truly special.”
The Children’s Giving Tree Project remains a cornerstone of CenClear’s mission to support families in need and spread holiday cheer across the community.
CenClear would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all donors and staff for their incredible support.
