CLEARFIELD – The Fraternal Order of Eagles #812, located in Clearfield, continues to donate to its local community, fulfilling its moto of “People Helping People.”
The organization recently donated to the Steve Livergood Jr. Christmas Eve Dinner and the Clearfield Borough Fire Department.
At a recent meeting, the F.O.E. 812 officers and members voted to donate $3,000 to the Steve Livergood Jr. Foundation for the 2024 Steve Livergood Jr. Christmas Eve Dinner.
In addition, they donated another $575 to help fund the ingredients needed to help the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center and others make stuffing balls for the event.
“We’ve been donating to the annual Steve Livergood Christmas Eve Dinner for several years now, and I’m sure our organization will continue to do so. For nearly 30 years, they’ve held this event in Clearfield and provided many free holiday meals to anyone that requests them while also providing gifts to many area families in need. The event continues to grow each year, and it’s only fitting that we lend a helping hand to ensure the event’s success for our local community and this outstanding foundation,” says the F.O.E. 812 Secretary, Justin Hainsey.

It was also voted by the majority to donate $2,500 to the Clearfield Borough Fire Department for their campaign to raise money for a new aerial fire truck.
“We received a letter noting the capital campaign that’s been started to raise money for a new aerial fire truck for the Clearfield Borough Fire Department and our membership didn’t hesitate to donate,” says Hainsey.
