CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School Key Club packed 301 shoebox gifts for the Samaritan’s Purse project, Operation Christmas Child, at its annual packing party in November.
The student shoebox project was made possible thanks to the generosity of the local community, school faculty and staff, students and local businesses whose donations made it such a great success.
Because the club exceeded its goal by 100 shoebox gifts, it requested additional support to cover shipping costs for those boxes and it was received through faculty and community donations.
“We couldn’t have done it without all of you,” expressed English teacher Tangi Borden, “and can’t thank you enough for making this year the best one yet. We’re already looking forward to next year.”
