PITTSBURGH, Pa. (EYT) – A 26-year-old Indiana, Pennsylvania, man has been sentenced to 46 months in federal prison followed by three years of supervised release for possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and methamphetamine, according to U.S. Attorney Eric G. Olshan.
Jacob Robert Kelly received his sentence from Senior United States District Judge Joy Flowers Conti. During sentencing, Judge Conti emphasized the serious nature of Kelly’s criminal conduct and the harm his conduct could have had in the community, according to Olshan.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Nicole A. Stockey and investigated by the United States Postal Inspection Service.
U.S. Attorney Olshan praised the agency’s work in achieving the conviction.
The prosecution was part of Project Safe Neighborhoods, a federal initiative aimed at reducing violent crime and enhancing public safety by building trust in communities, supporting violence prevention programs, prioritizing strategic enforcement, and evaluating outcomes.
