CLEARFIELD – A woman is behind bars following an alleged weapons incident.
Keisha E. Harris, 21, (no steady address) is charged by Clearfield Regional police with felony aggravated assault and firearms not to be carried without a license as well as misdemeanor terroristic threats.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, officers were called to a reported “weapons incident” around 6:02 a.m. Oct. 21 in the 300-block of Daisy Street in Clearfield Borough.
The victim advised county dispatch that Harris had “brandished a firearm at him” in the front yard; however, he had managed to take control of the weapon and secured it inside his residence.
Upon arrival of police, the victim directed them to the location of the weapon (a black Glock 17, 9 mm handgun) under the mattress in his bedroom and it was seized for purposes of investigation.
The victim told officers that Harris had climbed inside the residence through a bedroom window around 5:30 a.m., awakening him and two others. Harris then let her boyfriend inside.
At some point, the victim and Harris went outside and got into a verbal altercation. Allegedly, this is when Harris brandished a firearm from her sweatshirt and aimed it at the victim’s chest.
The victim said he grabbed the side of the weapon and punched Harris in the face in order to gain control of the firearm. Harris then got into her vehicle with her boyfriend and they left.
In the affidavit, it was noted that Harris doesn’t have a concealed carry permit.
Harris waived her right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday, sending her case to county court. Bail is set at $100,000, monetary.
