CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Commissioners addressed various items of business during Tuesday’s regular board meeting.
The commissioners:
- approved the 2025 state Rights and Services Act (RASA) and Victims of Juvenile Offenders (VOJO) grants budget with a combined total of $74,552—a decrease of nearly $3,000 over last year. Commissioner Chairman Dave Glass said it was concerning to see a funding decrease as county expenses continue to climb upwards, creating a burden for the county and its taxpayers.
- passed resolution 2024-#5 amending the articles of incorporation for the Area Transportation Authority.
- approved an amendment to the food service contract with Trinity Services Group Inc. for the Clearfield County Jail.
- approved a three-year agreement for DEVNET property tax software with an optional extension.
- approved contract documents for the McGees Mills Bridge timber deck project.
- approved a linkage agreement with Community County Services.
- approved a copier lease with Xerox for the county Veteran’s Affairs office.
- approved purchase of service agreements with CSI Corporate Security Investigations and Centre Counseling & Wellness.
- appointed Carolyn Smeal of Clearfield to the Clearfield County Library Board.
- announced one open board seat on the Clearfield County Recreation & Tourism Authority and two open board seats on the Clearfield County Solid Waste Authority. Interested persons should submit a letter of interest to the commissioners’ office.
- approved the personnel report consisting of six new hires.
- approved the minutes of the Sept. 10 board meeting as presented.
- approved the bills as presented by the Controller’s office.
