Details of the case:
According to a criminal complaint, the Reynoldsville Borough Police Department was contacted on Friday, July 19, by a member of 814 Pred Hunters, which is an organization primarily based in Clearfield County that targets online predators attempting to solicit or engage in sexual activity with minor children.
It was reported that 814 Pred Hunters has been in contact with a man—identified as Dennis Reisinger—who has been communicating sexually explicit messages with who he believed to be a 15-year-old juvenile female, the complaint states.
The conversation begins on June 23, 2024, when Reisinger sends a message saying, “you’re so pretty! I wish I could give you a hug.” The messages were initially off-and-on, but they eventually led to the two exchanging phone numbers, the complaint indicates.
From July 12 to July 23, Reisinger texted the juvenile decoy and discussed a large amount of sexual content. Reisinger made multiple references to sexual intercourse with the juvenile. He told the juvenile things like her “pleasure and happiness” is his “first priority,” and that he will “coach” her during intercourse, the complaint notes.
Reisinger made plans with the juvenile to pick her up on July 23 and take her to a “dirt road.” He arranged to meet the juvenile at a business on S. 5th Street in Reynoldsville, Jefferson County, according to the complaint.
While making the arrangements with the juvenile, Reisinger texted he washed his truck and got something for her. He then sent a picture of a Monster energy drink, the complaint says.
Around 6:41 p.m. on July 23, Reisinger pulled into the parking lot on S. 5th Street in a gold 2015 Ram 2500 pickup truck. He was taken into custody and read his Miranda warnings. He agreed to talk with police without an attorney present, the complaint states.
Reisinger admitted to knowing the juvenile’s age as 15. He said he lived alone all of his life and he was lonely, the complaint indicates.
Reisinger also admitted to the conversations that were sexual in nature, the complaint notes.
Inside the vehicle was the energy drink he brought for the juvenile in a cup holder in plain view. Reisinger said he had a loaded gun behind the driver’s seat, which was identified as a Taurus .357 magnum revolver. It was recovered from the vehicle, the complaint continues.
Reisinger also told police he brought condoms and lubricant and advised they were in the toolbox in the bed of the truck inside a backpack, according to the complaint.
He provided a written statement and was later transported to the Jefferson County Jail, the complaint shows.
Reisinger was arraigned at 9:50 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24, in front of Judge Inzana.
