CLEARFIELD – Multiple elementary back-to-school reminders were given during Monday’s Clearfield area school board meeting.
Principal Ken Veihdeffer encourages parents/guardians to save the following dates:
- Wednesday, Aug. 14: Kindergarten Parent/Student Night, 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Please enter/exit through the front door only, and meet in the school gymnasium).
- Thursday, Aug. 15: Kindergarten Half-Day Orientation for students with a last name beginning with A-L (8:45 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.). School administrators strongly suggest that students ride the bus the day of orientation. There will only be kindergarten students on the bus, and this provides them the opportunity to become familiar with the bus without a lot of other students present. Doing so will also give bus drivers an opportunity to put a name with a face; students will take buses for field trips and other occasions. A bus information letter will be sent out in the near future.
