The Grassflat Volunteer Fire Company will celebrate their 100th Anniversary on Saturday, May 4th.
The event will be held at the station, 505 Firehouse Rd. in Drifting, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Depending on availability at the time of the event various emergency vehicles will be on-site including the Moshannon Valley EMS, Pennsylvania State Police at a medical helicopter.
At noon, Rep. Dallas Kephart will give remarks and dedicate a new flagpole that was donated by DiLullo Transport, Inc., Emigh’s Towing, Flatline Finishing and Remodeling, LLC; James Krasinski Trucking & Excavating, John Fye; and Keith Folmar, State Farm Agent.
From 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Full of Air, LLC will make free balloon animals from 12:30- 1:30 p.m.. Fun activities for the kids will be provided by Little Bag of Sunshine, and safety activities will be sponsored by Keith Folmar, State Farm Agent.
There will also be a Chinese auction and Deserts and Moore will be selling delicious treats and BBQ.
