HARRISBURG – State Rep. Dallas Kephart (R-Clearfield/Cambria) appreciates local beneficiaries of grants recently awarded by the Office of State Fire Commissioner.
“I appreciate the leadership in each company taking initiative to submit for the grants” Kephart said. “This funding is in the best interests of not only the fire companies themselves but the communities they serve. More than $ 500,000 is coming to those who serve the 73rd District.”
Funding for the grants is provided by proceeds from statewide slot machine gaming and not General Fund tax revenue. The money may be used for projects which include construction or renovation of a fire or ambulance company facility, purchase or repair of equipment, training, or reduction of existing debt.
