- Police conducted a traffic stop Feb. 26 in the area of River and Alliance roads, Clearfield. According to a department-issued news release, the driver was suspected of being under the influence of a controlled substance, and was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. A passenger was also in possession of multiple controlled substances and drug paraphernalia. The driver was transported for a legal blood draw. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- Feb. 25, police received reports of multiple retail thefts at the Clearfield Walmart store, with one involving a juvenile employee and another an adult employee and multiple members of their family. Both cases involve multiple incidents, police say. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- Police reported a DUI/firearm incident Feb. 25 on North Third Street, Clearfield. According to a department-issued news release, information was received concerning a male passed out inside a vehicle located in a parking lot. It was determined that he was under the influence of controlled substances. He was also in possession of a firearm, which police say was next to him on the center console. The male, identified as Nevin Kruise, was on state parole and as a felon not permitted to possess a firearm. He was also allegedly in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed and Kruise was housed in county jail.
- Police received a report of a domestic Feb. 26 on Second Second Street, Clearfield. According to a department-issued news release, officers observed a female victim with injuries to her face and wrist from a physical altercation with Philip Moore. He was arrested for simple assault and harassment, and housed in county jail.
