Penn Highlands Healthcare and Elk County Catholic High School Team Up for “Get Screened”

Blood Test, Label, Tube, Tubing

ST. MARYS – Penn Highlands Elk and Elk County Catholic Music Boosters are partnering to offer “Get Screened,” a complete blood analysis for only $40.

The screening will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., at Elk County Catholic High School, which is located at 600 Maurus St., in St. Marys.

From one blood sample, more than 30 individual tests will be performed that can detect anemia and diabetes as well as diseases of the liver, kidneys, heart and more.

Additional tests, including Hemoglobin A1C (blood test for diabetes); Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA); Thyroid (T4, TSH); and iFOB Colon-Rectal Cancer, the at-home collection kit, will be offered for additional costs ranging from $10 to $15 each.

It is important to note that a 12-hour fasting period is required prior to testing.

Register Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. by calling 800-370-9640. Registration is required and closes on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2024. However, walk-ins will be accepted.

Certified medical professionals from Penn Highlands Elk will administer the testing.

Cash or checks will be accepted. Checks should be made payable to: ECCHS Music Boosters.
