Clearfield Regional
- Police reported on a matter Nov. 8 involving a runaway juvenile in Clearfield. According to a department-issued news release, police were dispatched to Sheetz after the juvenile male fled from a van transporting him to a detention facility. On Nov. 9, he was located in the Hillsdale area of Lawrence Township. The juvenile took off on foot but was taken into custody a short time later. He was released to Clearfield County Juvenile Probation. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- Police conducted a warrant service Nov. 9 in the 200-block of East Walnut Street in Clearfield. According to a department-issued news release, information was received regarding an intoxicated male, and upon arrival, police identified him as Lance Weber of Grampian, who was found to have an active warrant through the county’s Domestic Relations office. Weber was subsequently transported to jail on the warrant.
- Police received a report of theft Nov. 9 at the J.G. Food Warehouse in Clearfield. According to a department-issued news release, contact was made with Brenda Lewis of Clearfield upon arrival, and she was found to have an active warrant through the county’s Sheriff’s office. She was transported to jail on the warrant and felony charges for the theft.
- Police reported on a fleeing/eluding case Nov. 5 in the area of North Second and Third streets in Clearfield. According to a department-issued news release, officers attempted to stop a male bicyclist following a violation. However, the male—later identified as James J.P. Ogden—proceeded to flee, though he was allegedly ordered to stop multiple times. Ogden was taken into custody on North Third Street and police say he was under the influence of controlled substances, as well as found in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. As a result, charges were filed against Ogden through the magisterial district court.
