PENFIELD – On the weekend of Oct. 13-15, scouts from Troop 2 participated in a Wilderness Survival weekend near Parker Dam.
The weather wasn’t great, but the boys didn’t let that deter them from building a shelter, building fires without matches or lighter and having a fire-building competition.
To top it off, they slept in their shelters Saturday night despite the cold, rainy weather. They survived and also managed to keep dry and warm.
