GRAHAM TOWNSHIP – A Morrisdale man has been charged by Clearfield-based state police with the alleged sexual assault of a six-year-old girl.
Edward L. McGuire Sr., 73, was charged Wednesday with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, rape of child, sexual assault and corruption of minors, all felonies, and misdemeanor indecent assault.
McGuire assaulted the girl Aug. 27 in the bathroom of a Graham Township residence, according to the affidavit of probable cause filed with the Kylertown magistrate’s office.
Investigating troopers conducted an interview with McGuire on Oct. 9, and he reportedly admitted to having indecent contact with the girl.
Bail is set at $150,000, which online court documents indicate McGuire has posted. He’s scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing Oct. 25 during centralized court.
