The Clearfield Lady Bison JV Volleyball team competed in the Elk County Catholic volleyball tournament on Saturday, Oct. 15 and brought home the gold.

The success didn’t stop there. In the finals, the Lady Bison met the Lady Dragons of Warren. In the finals, the Lady Bison advanced their success to a two-game victory of 25-20 and 25-19.
The undefeated Lady Bison, 13-0 on the day, shows the power of the Bison up-and-coming volleyball program.
The JV Lady Bison currently have a 14-2 record in regular season match play in the Laurel Highlands Conference.
Head coach Sandy Bailor states, “I couldn’t be any prouder of the way these girls played today. They played against some very good teams, and to go 13-0 for the day, and win the championship says a lot about how hard they played as a team. It was fun to watch and shows that Clearfield Volleyball is on the rise.”
The Lady Bison’s next home match is versus the Curwensville Golden Tide, Monday Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. in the Clearfield Bison gym.
Participating in the tournament were: Elk County Catholic, Northern Potter, St. Marys, Brookville, Ridgway, Warren, Bradford, Coudersport, Johnsonburg and DuBois Central Catholic.
