CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield man was given a lengthy state prison sentence Monday for sexually assaulting two children.
Justin Cory Fillebrown, 28, was originally charged by state police with 10 felony counts of rape of a child, five felony counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with person less than 16-years-old, five felony counts of aggravated indecent assault-person less than 13-years-old, 10 felony counts of indecent assault-person less than 13-years-old and 11 misdemeanor counts of indecent exposure in February.
During sentencing court on Monday, Fillebrown pleaded guilty to felony involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and two felony counts of aggravated indecent assault-person less than 13-years-old.
President Judge Fredric J. Ammerman sentenced him to serve a total of nine to 28 years in state prison with nine years consecutive probation.
Although he was evaluated and found not to be a sexually-violent predator, he will have to register with authorities under Megan’s Law. He must also complete sex offender counseling, and is to have no contact with anyone under the age of 16.
Prior to sentencing, Fillebrown said he was sorry for what he did and admitted it was a “mistake,” adding it will never happen again.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, police received a report that two female juveniles had been raped and forced to perform oral sex on Fillebrown.
In an interview, a witness stated he walked into the girl’s bedroom where he saw Fillebrown standing directly in front of the 8-year-old victim’s face while exposing himself.
When he spoke with investigators, Fillebrown admitted to having sex with both the 8-year-old and 7-year-old victims.
