CLEARFIELD – It took a jury about an hour Wednesday to find a Clearfield man accused of having over 90 grams of methamphetamine guilty.
The trial for Robert Charles Lombardo, 30, was scheduled for two days but ended Wednesday afternoon, according to a court employee.
Lombardo was charged by state police with felony manufacture/delivery/possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and three misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident in Decatur Township on Jan. 20. He was found guilty on all charges.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, troopers were dispatched to the Harbor Inn in response to a disturbance.
While investigating the incident, a trooper made contact with Lombardo in the one of the rooms where he saw a bag of methamphetamine in plain view on the bed.
Lombardo was taken into custody. He gave consent for the officers to search the room and his belongings.
Under the bed, authorities found a black bag containing 91.5 grams of methamphetamine, 31 pills of dextroamphetamine, two spoons and a scale.
When questioned, Lombardo admitted the items belonged to him, according to the criminal complaint.
Lombardo will be sentenced within 90 days.
