CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Revitalization Corp. Board of Directors is pleased to announce the hiring of Sue Diehl as Main Street manager.
Under the direction of the Clearfield Revitalization Corp. board, the Main Street manager follows the guidelines of the Pennsylvania Downtown Center (PDC) and the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) to coordinate Main Street program activities, promote downtown businesses and oversee daily operations and events for the Clearfield Revitalization Corp.
A native of Clearfield and a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Diehl comes to the CRC with many years of professional and volunteer experience for multiple local organizations that have allowed her to gain experience in event planning, fundraising coordination and other administrative responsibilities.
She is most recently employed as the lead pre-school teacher at St. Francis School and the co-pool manager at the Clearfield Curwensville Country Club.
She credits her passion for promoting downtown businesses to her experiences shopping in Clearfield and growing up with grandparents and parents who owned and operated the Montgomery Ward Catalog Agency in downtown Clearfield.
When asked about these experiences, Diehl stated, “I remember being in the store, visiting with customers, walking the town and enjoying the stores that downtown had. I hope to assist in bringing some of that energy back to downtown.”
The officers and Board of the Clearfield Revitalization Corp. welcome Diehl as the new Main Street Manager and look forward to working with her to continue to fulfill the CRC’s mission statement of Leading the Revitalization of the All-American people, places and spirit of Clearfield, Pa.
The CRC would also like to welcome community members to attend upcoming events including the Not Your Grandma’s Bingo scheduled for Thursday, March 24 at Moena Restaurant and the Bloom and Berry Bash scheduled for Saturday, June 25.
More information on upcoming events is available on the Clearfield Revitalization Corp. Facebook page.
