State police at DuBois
- State police reported a drug-related DUI on March 19 in the 2800 block of State Park Road in Pine Township. During a traffic stop, a 27-year-old Hawk Run man allegedly displayed signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- State police reported a drug-related DUI on March 19 on Platt Road in Sandy Township. According to troopers, a 49-year-old Hawk Run woman arrived at the station to pick up a male who had been arrested for driving under the influence. The woman showed signs of being impaired by a controlled substance, and was placed under arrest. Charges are currently pending at this time.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report of theft March 16 on Thompsontown Road in Chest Township. During the incident, an unknown individual contacted the victim claiming to belong to a Government Grant office in Texas. They used the alias of “Dick Burkett,” and allegedly scammed the victim into sending sums of money to receive a Government Grant. The investigation is ongoing.
Lawrence Township
- On March 18, police received a report of retail theft from the Clearfield Walmart store. According to police, a Brisbin couple was caught under-ringing items on seven different occasions. They allegedly stole a total of 124 items valued at $655.89, and upon further investigation, police were able to positively identify and charge the couple through the district court.
- Police received a report of trespassing March 18 at the Clearfield Walmart store. During a traffic stop in the parking lot, it was found the female driver from DuBois had been previously prohibited from going on store property. She was charged through the district court.
