State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report of harassment on March 10 at the Philipsburg-Osceola Area Middle School in Chester Hill Borough. During the incident, a known 13-year-old male juvenile allegedly wrote out an agenda of harm towards other male juveniles. The investigation is ongoing.
- State police received a report of theft by deception/impersonation on March 10 in Pike Township. During the incident, someone allegedly opened a bank account in the victim’s name.
- State police received a report of an inmate-on-staff assault Feb. 4 at SCI Houtzdale in Woodward Township. During the incident, the inmate, identified as 46-year-old Joseph Olecki, allegedly punched a staff member multiple times in his head/face area. The victim suffered minor injuries as a result.
- State police received a report of disorderly conduct March 14 on Swoope Street in Curwensville Borough. During the incident, a 56-year-old Curwensville man allegedly caused a disturbance after having previously been issued warnings, but he continued to make unreasonable noise.
- State police received a report of disorderly conduct March 12 in the area of Hannah and Elizabeth streets in Beccaria Township. During the incident, a 37-year-old Fallentimber man allegedly caused public annoyance and was taken into custody. He was also found to have an active warrant through the sheriff’s department, and was taken to county jail.
- State police received a report of theft March 9 on Douglas Road in Knox Township. During the incident, the victim received an e-mail from someone claiming to be with the Geek Squad. The investigation is ongoing.
Clearfield Borough
- Police responded to West Seventh Avenue for a reported structure fire. Upon arrival, officers found the occupants were out of the structure, which was full of smoke from a malfunctioning pellet stove. The Clearfield Fire Department arrived and handled the situation.
- Police received a report about a package that was stolen from an East Locust Street address and later returned to the owner once it had been used. The investigation is ongoing.
- Police responded to a NW Third Avenue address to assist Clearfield EMS with gaining access into a home. As police were en route, the victim was able to grant access to EMS.
- Police responded to a possible damaged water shut-off valve along West Locust Street. The Clearfield Municipal Authority was requested and responded to the scene.
- Police responded to a home along West Sixth Avenue for an activated carbon monoxide alarm. The Clearfield Fire Department arrived and found the alarm had malfunctioned.
- Police were called to several homes on the West Side of town as a group of individuals were pounding on doors and running away during the early-morning hours.
- Police responded to a reported disturbance involving a male and female on Nichols Street. Upon arrival, officers found the altercation to only be verbal. The male also advised that he was leaving the residence for the evening.
- Police arrested a female along East Market Street after she was found to be highly intoxicated and causing a disturbance.
