HORTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – An area man lost over $40,000.00 on Sunday to a fraud scam.
According to Ridgway-based State Police, around 12:53 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, a 65-year-old Brockport man, of Coder Road, Horton Township, Elk County, was a victim of a fraud incident, with a loss of more than $40,000.00.
Police say the incident involved two wire transfers, one for $8,000.00 and another for $32,655.65.
The investigation is ongoing.
