State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report of a Protection from Abuse violation on March 7 on Hill Street in Chester Hill Borough. Upon investigation, it was allegedly found that the victim had contacted a 39-year-old Philipsburg man, advised him that the PFA was dropped and wanted him to come over. The investigation is ongoing.
- State police received a report of an alleged theft of $7,000 cash March 7 on Workers Road in Penn Township. The investigation is ongoing.
- State police reported a DUI occurred March 5 in the area of Fernwood Road and Small Street in Gulich Township. During the incident, a 75-year-old Ginter man was allegedly found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. Charges are currently pending.
- State police received a report of theft March 4 on Market Street in Beccaria Township. During the incident, the victim won an online bid and sent a money order but allegedly hasn’t received the firearm. The investigation is ongoing.
- State police received a report of a PFA violation March 3 on Fourth Avenue in Curwensville Borough. Upon arrival on-scene, a 30-year-old Emporium man was allegedly found in an upstairs bedroom of the residence, which was in violation of an active PFA order. He was taken into custody and housed in county jail.
- State police were involved in a pursuit March 4 in the area of state Route 153 and Park Avenue Extension. According to the report, an unknown individual was seen riding a green, off-road dirt bike and they failed to stop for a traffic violation. The operator fled on SR 153 and then onto Clover Hill Road to an off-road area. The dirt bike has been observed at Lawrence Park Village on numerous occasions.
Lawrence Township
- Police reported a drug-related DUI occurred March 10 in the area of River Road and Plaza Drive. During a traffic stop, an officer observed drug paraphernalia in a 32-year-old Morrisdale man’s vehicle. A search allegedly turned up crystal methamphetamine, Alprazolam and numerous items of drug paraphernalia. Upon investigation, police say the man was found to be under the influence of controlled substance(s). He was transported to Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital for a legal blood draw, then housed in county jail at request of the Probation Department. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- Police received a report of a domestic March 9 on Garman Lane. Upon arrival on-scene, it was found that one victim allegedly had recent signs of a physical assault and the perpetrator will be cited accordingly.
- On March 4, police received a report of retail theft at Clearfield Walmart. Upon investigation, a male suspect was identified and it was determined that over an eight-month period, he had under rung numerous items with an overall total of $2,631.39.
- Police reported a DUI occurred March 10 at the Hyde Car Wash. According to police, a call was received about an unresponsive male inside a vehicle in the car wash parking lot. Upon arrival, contact was made with 57-year-old Clearfield male who was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcoholic beverages. He refused to submit to a legal blood draw, and later was released to a sober person. Charges were filed through the district court.
