State police at Clearfield

During the incident, a 39-year-old Philipsburg man got into verbal argument with the victim that allegedly turned physical. He left the scene prior to police arrival and was cited through the district court.

- State police received a report of identity theft Feb. 22 in Graham Township. During the incident, someone allegedly filed an unauthorized unemployment claim in the victim’s name. The unemployment office was notified and all benefits were ceased.

- State police reported a pursuit occurred Feb. 27 from Rolley to Hemlock Hollow roads in Pike Township. According to state police, a traffic stop was attempted on a vehicle operated by 43-year-old Edward D. Anderson of Olanta. He failed to stop and a pursuit ensued, during which he lost control of his vehicle and crashed. Anderson was entrapped and assisted from the vehicle by members of the Curwensville Rescue Hose & Ladder Co. State police were also assisted by Lawrence Township police and towing services.

Clark of Morrisdale was involved in a verbal altercation with the victim that turned physical in nature. State police observed injuries on the victim, and Clark was taken into custody on charges of simple assault and harassment.
