JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – A hearing for a Brookville man accused of brandishing a knife, throwing it at a woman during a domestic incident is scheduled for Tuesday morning.
Court documents indicate 28-year-old Anthony Michael Schilling is scheduled to stand for a preliminary hearing in front of Magisterial District Judge Jacqueline J. Mizerock at 9:15 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22, on the following charges:
– Aggravated Assault – Attempts to cause or causes Bodily Injury with deadly weapon, Felony 2
– Strangulation – Applying Pressure to Throat or Neck, Felony 2 (two counts)
– Terroristic Threats With Intent To Terrorize Another, Misdemeanor 1
– Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
– Harassment – Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary
He is currently lodged in the Jefferson County Jail on $5,000.00 monetary bail.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred in Bell Township, Jefferson County, in late October 2021.

According to a criminal complaint, around 6:00 p.m. on October 28, 2021, Punxsutawney-Based State Police were dispatched to a residence on Cloe Church Street for a domestic incident after a caller reported she was on the phone with her daughter and could hear screaming over the phone. The caller also told police her daughter had stated she had been stabbed.
At the scene, police made contact with the victim who reportedly stated she was in a verbal argument with her boyfriend, Anthony Michael Schilling, that had turned violent.
According to the complaint, the victim told police Schilling was upset with her about going to see her daughter and he had gone to the kitchen and retrieved a knife. The victim reported Schilling then began to cut his own wrist, then threw the knife at her, leaving a cut approximately four inches long on her left thigh.
The victim indicated Schilling then put his hands on her neck, slammed her against a wall, and began to strangle her to the point of suffocation. The victim told police Schilling choked her multiple times throughout the encounter, sometimes using one hand and sometimes using both hands. She also reported Schilling had said, “if he wanted to make someone disappear, he could because he did it before,” according to the complaint.
Schilling was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Jacqueline J. Mizerock at 10:40 a.m. on December 7, 2021.
Court documents indicate Schilling has a criminal history dating back to 2013 with convictions ranging from possession of marijuana and disorderly conduct to simple assault and terroristic threats.
