CLEARFIELD – A Morrisdale man is facing felony and misdemeanor charges for reportedly backing a pickup truck into his girlfriend’s vehicle.
Robert K. Foster Jr., 31, is charged by Clearfield state police with two felony counts of aggravated assault and two counts each of misdemeanor simple assault and reckless endangerment.
He’s also charged with two counts each of misdemeanor criminal mischief and disorderly conduct and misdemeanor accident involving damage to attended vehicle, plus six summaries.
Foster waived his right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday during centralized court. He’s incarcerated in Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
The charges stem from a domestic incident at approximately 1:43 p.m. Feb. 10 on Wallaceton Road in Morris Township, according to the affidavit.
On-scene, troopers spoke with a witness who said a verbal altercation broke out between Foster and his girlfriend in the driveway.
The witness said Foster’s girlfriend got into a sedan with an unknown male and they slowly began to back out of the driveway.
Foster got into the witness’ pickup truck and intentionally backed into the sedan, as it entered the roadway. The sedan reportedly sustained heavy, disabling damage.
Foster fled the scene in the pickup for a short period of time before returning the truck and fleeing on foot. His girlfriend and the unknown male also left.
Troopers spoke with a second witness who works next door. She corroborated the story of the first witness, adding she heard Foster threaten to run into his girlfriend’s vehicle if she didn’t leave.
She said after Foster’s girlfriend and the male began to leave, it appeared Foster intentionally ran the truck into her vehicle anyways.
