State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report of identity theft Feb. 1 in Decatur Township. During the incident, someone allegedly used the victim’s personal information to file for unemployment.
- State police received a report of identity theft Jan. 31 in Graham Township. During the incident, someone allegedly used the victim’s personal information to file for unemployment.
- State police conducted a traffic stop Feb. 1 on the Woodland-Bigler Highway/Allport Cutoff in Bradford Township. During the stop, the female driver allegedly provided a false name to troopers. When she provided her real identification, she was found to have active warrants through the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office. She was taken into custody and to Clearfield County Jail. Charges will also be filed through the district court for false identification to law enforcement.
- State police received a report of theft that occurred between Dec. 6 and Feb. 4 on Strongs Road in Jordan Township. During the incident, a 32-year-old Irvona man allegedly gained access to a relative’s PayPal account and removed a large amount of money over a period of time. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- State police received a report of corruption of minors Dec. 9 in Grampian Borough. During the incident, a teenage suspect allegedly took nude photos of a teenage victim, and sent them to others via SnapChat. The investigation is ongoing.
- State police received a report of harassment Jan. 24 on Decatur Street in Chester Hill Borough. During the incident, a 41-year-old Philipsburg woman allegedly struck two children. Charges were filed through the district court.
- State police reported a drug violation occurred Feb. 2 in the area of Clearfield – Woodland Highway and Patty Cake Lane in Bradford Township. During a traffic stop, a driver was allegedly found to be under the influence and passengers to be in possession of a controlled substance. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- State police received a report of harassment Jan. 28 on Banion Road in Bigler Township. During the incident, a 48-year-old Coalport man allegedly pushed the victim. As a result, he was charged through the district court.
- State police received a report of a domestic assault Jan. 29 on the Ginter – Morann Highway in Gulich Township. Upon arrival on-scene, troopers allegedly observed recent injuries to the victim, and advised a 35-year-old Houtzdale man he was under arrest, at which point he began to resist. The man was charged with simple assault, resisting arrest and harassment through the district court.
- State police received a report of identity theft Feb. 3 in Penn Township. During the incident, someone allegedly gained access to the victim’s personal information and opened an unemployment claim. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.
- State police responded to a reported possible overdose Feb. 1 on Greenwood Road in Pike Township. Upon arrival, troopers found a male had overdosed on fentanyl, he was treated by EMS and taken to Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital.
- State police received a report of harassment Feb. 1 in the area of Paradise Aly and Fourth Street in Bigler Township. As a result of a disturbance, a Madera couple was charged through the district court.
State police at DuBois
- State police were contacted by 38-year-old Jenifer Guaglianone of DuBois on Feb. 6 regarding a previous incident that occurred at her Brady Township residence that day. At this time, it was found she had an active bench warrant in Jefferson County and when troopers attempted to take Guaglianone into custody, she reportedly commented that she wasn’t going to jail. Troopers allegedly had to physically place her arms behind her back to be cuffed, then carry her outside and place her inside the patrol unit. Guaglianone was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, and housed in Jefferson County Jail on the bench warrant.
Lawrence Township
- Police reported a DUI/drug arrest occurred Feb. 5 in the area of Riverview Road and Fullerton Street in Lawrence Township. During a traffic stop, 24-year-old Logan Jones of Morrisdale was found to have an active warrant. He was also suspected of being under the influence of a controlled substance, as well as in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Charges are currently pending.
- Police reported a drug-related DUI occurred Feb. 4 on South Second Street in Lawrence Township. During a traffic stop, 39-year-old Terry Titus Jr. of West Decatur was found to be driving under suspension as well as without vehicle insurance. Upon further investigation, he was allegedly found to be under the influence of a controlled substance(s). He refused to provide a blood sample and was housed in county jail for a probation violation. Charges were filed through the district court.
- Emergency personnel requested police assistance Feb. 1 at Lawrence Park Village after a child fell inside a residence, suffering injury. Further investigation allegedly revealed the living conditions were “deplorable” for all four children. Children & Youth Services were contacted and the parents, identified as 24-year-old Andrea Geer and 29-year-old Arlante Young, were charged with four counts of child endangerment.
- Police responded to a physical domestic dispute Feb. 4 at the Hyde Fire Hall. Upon investigation, it was found a 20-year-old male had allegedly assaulted several fire department members while refusing to leave the property. Witnesses were interviewed by police, resulting in charges being filed against the male through the district court.
- Police responded to a reported DUI crash Feb. 5 along the Clearfield – Glen Richey Highway in Lawrence Township. According to police, information was received about a truck that had gotten stuck in a ditch. Upon arrival, it was found to be partially blocking one lane of travel and towing services were called to the scene. The male driver was allegedly highly intoxicated and taken to Clearfield Penn Highlands for a legal blood draw. Charges are currently pending.
- Police received a report about a fight in progress Feb. 6 in the Big Lots parking lot in Lawrence Township. Upon arrival, it was found the offender – a 22-year-old Ohio woman – and the victim had left the scene. Through investigation and contact with both individuals, it was found they’d met in the lot for a custody exchange. The exchange resulted in a heated verbal altercation that allegedly turned physical in nature. After threatening and running at her, police say the woman struck the victim several times in the face, which left a laceration under her eye. Police cited the woman offender with disorderly conduct and harassment.
