State police at Clearfield
- State police responded to a reported domestic Jan. 23 in Penn Township. During a pre-arranged custody exchange, a Curwensville couple engaged in a verbal altercation that allegedly turned physical. Both individuals were cited trough the district court.
- State police received a report of criminal mischief Jan. 30 in the area of Don and Spring streets in Houtzdale Borough. During the incident, a known male suspect allegedly damaged the victim’s windshield. However, prosecution was declined in the case.
- State police received a report of disorderly conduct Jan. 28 on Shimels Road in Graham Township. During a verbal argument, troopers say a 65-year-old Morrisdale man damaged a door, which allegedly caused an 18-year-old Morrisdale man to strike him. Charges of disorderly conduct and harassment were filed through the district court.
- State police received a report of a Protection from Abuse order violation Jan. 27 on Spruce Street in Bigler Township. According to state police, a juvenile male was seen with the victim while there was an active PFA. It was found that she had invited him to see her and the contact was mutual. Charges will be not pursued.
- State police received a report of theft Jan. 19-24 on Deep Mine Road in Bigler Township. During the incident, someone allegedly took a lockbox and checkbook belonging to the victim. The lockbox didn’t contain any items. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-857-3800.
- State police received a report of terroristic threats Jan. 17 on Vulcan Road in Bigler Township. During the incident, a 40-year-old Clearfield man allegedly threatened to kill the victim. Charges were filed through the district court.
- State police received a report of criminal mischief/trespass Jan. 18 on Company Row Road in Boggs Township. During the incident, someone allegedly forcibly entered the victim’s shed, but nothing was taken from inside. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- State police received a report of identity theft Jan. 27 on Beth Lane in Bradford Township. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- State police received a report of retail theft Jan. 23 at Sheetz in Decatur Township. During the incident, a 31-year-old Houtzdale man allegedly stole two protein bars. Misdemeanor charges have been filed through the district court.
- State police received a report of identity theft Jan. 24 on Morrisdale – Allport Highway in Morris Township. During the incident, someone allegedly filed for unemployment benefits in the victim’s name. The investigation is ongoing.
- State police received a report of identity theft Jan. 20 on Main Street in Ramey Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly attempted to open an unemployment claim in the victim’s name.
- State police received a report of harassment Jan. 23 on Long Run Road in Bradford Township. During a domestic, a West Decatur man allegedly struck the victim in the neck several times. Charges have been filed through the district court.
Clearfield Borough
- Police responded to a minor vehicle accident on Bridge Street. It reportedly occurred when a motorist’s foot slipped off the brake pedal. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were driven from the scene.
- Police responded to an activated security alarm at a Reed Street business. Police arrived and found it to be a false alarm.
- Altoona police had contact with a male holding a warrant through the Clearfield Borough police. The male was transported to the Clearfield County Jail.
- Police received a report of individuals on the ice of the Susquehanna River. Police advised the individuals of the dangers of walking on unmeasured ice.
- Police conducted a welfare check of an East Locust Street resident. Police located the male and found him to be experiencing a medical emergency. EMS transported the male to the hospital where he was flown by helicopter to another hospital.Â
- Police responded to a report of a female being struck by falling ice. Police and EMS arrived on-scene and transported the female to the hospital.
- Police conducted a welfare check of a Reed Street resident. The male was found to be intoxicated and requested to be taken to the hospital. The male was transported to the hospital.
- Police and EMS responded to a South Third Street establishment for an intoxicated male who had fallen off a bar stool. Police and EMS arrived and assisted the male to the hospital.
Lawrence Township
- Police reported a drug-related DUI occurred Jan. 29 along Clearfield – Shawville Highway in Lawrence Township. According to police, information was received about a suspicious female who appeared to be under the influence of controlled substances. When officers made contact with her, they confirmed she was under the influence and learned she’d been operating a vehicle. She was placed under arrest and transported to Clearfield Penn Highlands for a legal blood draw.
