Lawrence Township
- Police reported a DUI occurred Jan. 22 in the Sheetz parking lot in Lawrence Township. According to police, a be-on-the-look-out (BOLO) alert was received for a blue Ford Ranger. The truck was being driven recklessly and almost struck other vehicles traveling from Woodland on U.S. Route 322 towards Clearfield. Later, police were advised the truck was at Sheetz and a traffic stop was conducted, finding the driver, a 49-year-old Middleburg, Pa. man, was allegedly under the influence of alcohol. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- Police reported a DUI crash occurred Jan. 22 on Park Avenue Extension in Lawrence Township. According to police, the operator of a Hyundai Sonata failed to negotiate a curve while traveling north and struck an embankment before stopping in a roadside lawn. The operator, a 38-year-old Clearfield man, was allegedly under the influence and taken to the Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital for a medical evaluation and legal blood draw. His vehicle was towed from the scene.
- Police received a report of an alleged retail theft Jan. 19 at the Clearfield Walmart Store in Lawrence Township. As a result, a citation was filed against a 20-year-old Hyde woman through the magisterial district court.
