CLEARFIELD – Lawrence Township Fire Police Captain Louis Stubbs went before the township supervisors Tuesday night to inquire about a sport utility vehicle for the fire police.
The current vehicle they have is wearing out and it’s becoming harder to get parts for, he said.
The supervisors said they would hold a discussion about it once they hold an executive meeting, and would have an answer by the next business day.
The supervisors also passed a motion to allow Pine Township to use the Lawrence Township tax collector’s office to collect taxes for Pine Township.
The supervisors discussed the possibility of acquiring dash cams for the fire companies to have in their units.
The dash cams would be wired in and be front facing. Action was tabled until a later date, however.
On Nov. 8, Lawrence Township participated in a tick study for the state at the Lawrence Township Recreation Park.
This state-funded study served to give a better understanding of the tick populations across the commonwealth of Pennsylvania in recreational parks.
Dates to spray the recreational park will be determined once the weather permits.
Lawrence Township would like to thank the residents for their due diligence in keeping snow cleared during the winter storm this week.
