CLEARFIELD – A Morrisdale woman accused of selling methamphetamine waived her right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday during centralized court.
Jennifer Dawn Quick, 47, is charged with manufacture/delivery/possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and criminal use of communication facility, both felonies, as well as misdemeanor counts of intentional possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
She is free on $25,000, unsecured bail.
The charges stem from an incident in Morris Township on May 8, 2019 when Quick allegedly sold one gram of methamphetamine to a confidential informant.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, a trooper had contact with the informant who said he/she could purchase the drug from Quick.
A controlled buy was set up through Facebook and two undercover officers drove together with the informant to Quick’s residence.
When they pulled into the driveway, one of the officers saw a woman in the yard whom he identified as Quick. The informant got out of the vehicle and met with Quick on the porch before they went inside.
After a few minutes, they came out but continued to talk in the yard before the informant got back into the vehicle.
The informant reportedly gave the officers a plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine.
He/she stated that once inside, he/she saw the bag of methamphetamine on the table. He/she picked up the bag and put $100 on the table, which Quick picked up and put in her pocket, according to the complaint.
The informant told the officers he/she did not see anyone else inside the residence.
