CURWENSVILLE – Although it was a home game for the Curwensville Area High School boys basketball team, that didn’t stop DuBois Central Catholic (5-3) in picking up a 67-37 victory in Patton Hall on Tuesday evening.
The Golden Tide had a fairly strong first half with a 10-10 first quarter and then only trailed by five at the break, 29-24.
It was the second 16 minutes that Curwensville failed to stay in the contest as the Cardinals easily outscored the Tide 38-13 to pick up the win.
Curwensville junior Ty Terry lead all scorers with 23 points that included five from beyond the arc.
DuBois Central Catholic had three players in double digits with Damon Foster having 17 followed by Dante Armanini with 13 and Jalen Kosko adding 11.
The Golden Tide hit 14 of 23 from the foul line, while the Cardinals made 8 of 13.
There was no junior varsity game.
Curwensville (1-7) is on the road for a Wednesday evening game against Glendale in Moshannon Valley League play on the Vikings’ home floor.
