CLEARFIELD – The weather kept some away from the Lawrence Township Supervisors’ meeting, and as a result, the meeting was short with only a few items touched on or discussed.
Secretary Barbara Shaffner reported that grants were awarded for dirt and gravel road work through the conservation district for two of the three roads submitted, 104 Cavalry and Pifer Road.
Solicitor Linda Lewis reported that she read the agreement for Clearfield Municipal Authority to take over the sewer system and has sent a few questions to CMA’s solicitor, John Ryan.
Supervisor Jeremy Ruffner reported that the dog park committee continues to meet monthly and is making progress.
Ruffner said they are thinking of doing the park in phases and are trying to determine the best way to get started in 2021.
It appears that the cost of the park will be around $30-40,000 total, and doing it in stages is most economical.
They will also be setting up a fundraiser and are accepting donations.
