GRAMPIAN – The Grampian Lions Club will host a Halloween Drive-Thru Trunk or Treat for all local children at the Grampian Community Park. The event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
As a Lions Club, it must follow Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Halloween COVID-19 recommendations. As a result, there will not be a Halloween parade this year, and the trunk or treat will be drive-thru only.
Vendors will hand out bagged treats to the driver for each child riding in a licensed vehicle. Children should remain in the vehicle to receive treats during this event.
Vendors are being asked to decorate their vehicles to look festive, but nothing too scary or gruesome for children.
The club will provide a large Halloween bag with a treat for each child to use to collect treats from the other vendors. Each vendor will have someone handing treats to drivers while wearing a mask/face shield and gloves.
The club is very grateful to its Trunk or Treat vendors and community for their continued support of its Halloween activities.
It was also noted that the club will “strive to handle this event safely and properly while having something fun for our children and their families.”
