HYDE – A student has tested positive for COVID-19 at the Clearfield Area Elementary School, according to a community notification issued on the district’s Web site by Superintendent Terry Struble.
The notice reads:
“We have been made aware by the Pennsylvania Department of Health of a student who has tested positive for COVID-19 at the elementary school. The student has not been in school since Thursday, Oct. 1.
“The family and the school are working with the DOH to gather information about any potential contacts and what steps we will need to follow. If the DOH does identify anyone as a close contact, those individuals will be contacted directly.
Struble reminded the community to monitor their well-being and to be aware of those around them for signs/symptoms of COVID-19. School resumed today for Group A students.
