Lawrence Twp.
Police conducted a traffic stop in the area of Country Club Rd. and Washington Ave. for an equipment violation. During the investigation it was discovered that Richard Gearheart, 42, and Albert Mcgary, 56, both of Clearfield were found to be in possession of methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia. Charges have been filed.
Police investigated an incident of multiples thefts that occurred between August 20, 2020 and September 18, 2020 at the WalMart Supercenter. Upon reviewing surveillance, both actors have been identified. Charges have been filed.
Police were called to the Clearfield County Jail for a report of a found shiv during a search of the restricted housing unit. A 24 year old inmate from Ridgway admitted to the possessing the weapon. Charges are pending.
Clearfield Borough
Officers responded to a residence on Clearfield Street for an individual burning garbage. Upon arrival, the fire was unattended, and officers tried making contact with actors but were not able to do so. Citations to be filed.
Officers responded to an apartment building on Leavy Avenue for an incident of harassment. According to the female, two other females were verbally harassing her. Contact was made with the actors and they were warned for their actions.
Officers responded to a psychological emergency at a residence on the 100 block of South 2nd Street. The female agreed to be transported to Penn Highlands for a mental health evaluation.
Officers were dispatched to a noise complaint at a residence on the 300 block of Turnpike Avenue. The incident was listed as unfounded.
Officers were dispatched to a residence on the 500 block of Nichols Street for a reported theft. A male was viewed on camera stealing a “Support Your Local Police” sign from the victim’s yard. Another victim contacted police and notified them that they also had a sign stolen from their yard. The male is known to officers and charges are pending.
Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was being driven by a wanted male. The male was taken into custody and transported to CCJ.
Officers responded to an alleged assault that occurred at a residence on North 2nd Street. It was found that a male struck a female in the face and caused injury. The male was charged with Simple Assault along with several other related charges. The suspect was located the next day and taken into custody. The suspect is still currently in CCJ on $50,000 bail. He was not able to post bail.
Officers were flagged down by a male on Bigler Avenue. Upon further investigation, it was found that the male “blacked out” from drugs inside of a car and the driver made him exit the vehicle. The male then began walking and ended up in Clearfield. It was found that the male was wanted by State Parole and he was taken into custody and later released to State Parole Agents.
Curwensville Borough
Police were called to Thompson St. for a report of a theft. No charges were filed and the items were returned to their respective owners.
Police were contacted about juveniles in the cemetery. Upon arrival, the juveniles were gone.
Police were called to the Filbert St. area for a report of fireworks. Police would like to remind the public that fireworks are not to be set off in residential areas.
Police were called to Curwensville Commons for a wanted individual. Upon arrival it was determined that the individual did not have any outstanding warrants.
Police were called to a residence at Meadow St. for found drug paraphernalia. The home was vacant and is believed to be occupied by squatters.
Police responded to an Anderson St. residence for a child who had locked herself in handcuffs to a grill. Police were able to free the child.
Police are investigating a report that someone kicked in the doors to the concession stands at the softball fields in Irvin Park. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
